Georgetown College women's tennis team battled hard against Lindsey Wilson Tuesday, coming up short 6-3.

Emily Krick and Shelby Eden took the lone doubles match, 8-1, over Rocio Cardo and Ashley Phillips. Haley Hart and Natalie Hill were close to winning their match against Laura Vergara and Edel Ferri, 9-8 (7).

Kaitlyn Thompson defeated Cardo in singles, 6-2, 6-2, while Eden also beat Phillips 6-1, 6-2 for the final two GC points.

Hart was a couple of breaks from making things interesting against Slavica Milanovic in a 6-4, 6-3 loss.

This was the first loss in five matches after the Tigers started 0-6 this season. GC reeled off four wins straight over the spring break before opening conference play with the narrow loss to Lindsey.
