Georgetown College seniors Travis Prewitt and Tyler VanDyke have been named Daktronics-NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athletes.

Georgetown College seniors Travis Prewitt and Tyler VanDyke have been named Daktronics-NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athletes.

The NAIA honored a total of 238 baseball players this year.  Recipients are required to be juniors or above in academic standing; in attendance at the nominating institution a minimum of one full year of attendance; hold a minimum grade point average of 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale) at the time of nomination at the nominating institution and be certified as eligible on the varsity roster.

Prewitt, a catcher from Corbin, Ky., graduated with a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average while teammate VanDyke, an infielder from Lexington, achieved a 3.5.  Both are four year members of the baseball program.
