Kaelin Ammons is on cover of Mid-South Conference/Mid States Football Association Victory Sports Network regional edition of the NAIA football preview.
The All-American Honorable Mention quarterback returns under center for the Tigers in his senior campaign and is looking to help Georgetown College continue its re-emergence on the national scene. GC won the MSC East, going undefeated with an average margin of victory of more than two touchdowns.
The Tigers were back in the postseason play for the first time since 2006 and gave highly-ranked MidAmerica Nazarene a run for its money in Olathe, Kansas. In that game, Ammons was 16-of-33 for 149 yards and also rushed 13 times for 120 yards and two scores. The junior signal-caller was 200-of-340 for the season with 2,865 yards and 34 touchdowns. He averaged 260.5 yards per game.
GC finished 8-3 and return a lot of weapons from last year's championship team.
This is the ninth edition for the VSN preview magazine and includes detailed information on great teams, coaches, student-athletes and traditions of all the NAIA football programs.
