Campbellsville, KY-Georgetown College scored two runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back, advancing to the finals of the Mid-South Conference Baseball Tournament with a 9-4 win at Campbellsville University on Friday.

Campbellsville, KY-Georgetown College scored two runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back, advancing to the finals of the Mid-South Conference Baseball Tournament with a 9-4 win at Campbellsville University on Friday.

The Tigers will repeat Friday's game at Campbellsville in the finals of the double elimination tournament on Saturday. The first pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

Senior shortstop Bryan Bonner took it over the left field wall in his first at bat to score Chase Armstrong. Three more runs were added in the top of the second after the Tigers put together a string of hits.

Campbellsville's points of the day were scored with a single run in both the bottom of the third and fourth innings to make it 5-2, but a second Georgetown homerun, this time by senior left fielder Eric Severson, scored freshman Mike Steinke and Bonner.

Georgetown moved to 32-21 on the year. The winner of Saturday's game will be an automatic qualifier to the NAIA National Tournament.
