Anna Ayers hadn't played a regular season soccer game since 2009 Mid-South Conference tournament finals. She wasted no time in getting back into the rhythm of things for the Tigers, netting four goals and assisting two. She received Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts.
The Ft. Thomas native scored twice and assisted two goals in a 5-3 win over Milligan. Ayers netted two more against Union Saturday.
"Getting to see her back on the field for us this season reminds me how much we missed her last season," GC coach Leah Crews Castleman said. "She is a spark for us, a real playmaker, creating for herself and others. She is on her way to a very good season."
This is the first week for the award and is the second time overall that Ayers has earned it. She received OPW on Sept. 21 her freshman year.
