Fantastic rivalry soccer matches at Georgetown College Thursday evening with the fall nip in the air. Campbellsville came to Georgetown for men's and women's games at Georgetown Soccer Complex. GC's women scored two goals in the first half and never looked back.

The team improves to 4-3-2 on the season and remain perfect in the Mid-South Conference 2-0, CU is now 6-3 and 1-1. Alex Harbowy netted both goals, scoring the first off a rebound and the second on a one-on-one with the keeper.

The men followed that with a battle that needed 20 extra minutes and still finished in a 1-1 draw. Both teams had chances, but were thwarted by the goaltending of GC's Dan Rothwell and CU's Kyle Thomas. With the tie GC goes to 2-7-1 and 1-0-1 in the league, while CU is 2-5-2 and 0-1-1.

CU scored first as Andy Orr finished a cross, ripping the ball back through the box into the far right post. With under 10 minutes to play, things looked bad for GC. Georgetown pushed the attack and with under two minutes to play Taylor Shaver sent a long throw in deep into the box. Travis Swan hit a flick header that appeared to be headed wide of the goal when John Cothran redirected it with his head for a goal on the near post and a tie game.

It stayed that way through regulation and two, 10-minute overtime sessions.
