Georgetown College's volleyball team wrapped up another conference showdown in three straight games Tuesday against University of Virginia College at Wise.

The Tigers (11-9, 6-2 Mid-South Conference) have won 10 of their 11 matches in a clean sweep. GC trailed in the first game late, but rolled following a 19-19 tie. The team went on for a 25-21, 25-14, 25-15 win in Davis-Reid Alumni Gym.

Now the Tigers hit the road for three Top 10 games in the Embry-Riddle Tournament in Florida.

"We are playing well and now we get a chance to take some of the pressure off ourselves and just focus on playing volleyball," said Georgetown coach Nick Griffin. "We want to win and have played so well against ranked opponents this year and there is no pressure on us."

Senior Alyssa Elmore stepped up with 11 kills against the Cavaliers, while Rachel Eubanks had seven and Caitlyn Kogge and Kelsey Luckett each had six.

The tandem of setters of Liz Goodin and Stephanie Gurren had 24 and 12 assists each to lead the Tigers. Lindsey Wise added 11 digs to lead the defensive side for Georgetown.
