Georgetown native Casey Mingua leads the men's golf team after round one and currently sits tied in second at St. Catharine's Fall Invitational. The Scott County High School graduate shot a 72 Monday, a stroke behind University of the Cumberlands' Aaron Watkins.

The Tigers are in sixth out of the 12 teams, shooting a 311.

Brett Doggett, a late entry for the tournament, was second with a 75, putting him in a tie for 11th. T.A. Wells and J. Morgan Reed shot in the 80s as Georgetown's other two scoring players.

GC's women's team is in eighth with 18 holes to play. Corri Collins shot an 89 to lead the Tigers Monday. Lauren Von Ohlen and Deanna Johnson shot in the 90s while Katie Jones was three strokes over 100.

The tournament continues Tuesday in Springfield.
