Casey Mingua finished tied for seventh in the St.
Catharine Fall Golf Invitational to lead the Tigers' to a fifth-place team
finish. The junior from Georgetown shot a 78 on day two to finish with a 150
for the tournament. He was four strokes back from the winner, Campbellsville's
Scott Foster, and one stroke off four players tied for third.
Mingua's opening round of 72 had him tied for second with
Foster heading into Tuesday's round.
Georgetown College coach Flash Williams saw his four other
golfers finish under 170 for the tournament. Brett Doggett shot a 160 over the
36-hole match. T.A. Wells shot a 164 and J. Morgan Reed a 165 as the other
scorers for the Tigers.
Riley Williams also competed and shot a 168 for the
The women's team did not fare as well, finishing ninth.
However, sophomore Katie Jones rebounded from an opening round of 103 to shoot
98 Tuesday. Lauren Van Ohlen shot a 93 to lead the Tigers and finished with a
184 for both days.
Corri Collins opened with an 89 for GC, but posted a 102
on day two and Deanna Johnson finished with a 108 to round out the scoring
