Georgetown College dug a huge hole in its first match
Friday in the 6th annual Boneyard Brawl, and despite a valiant effort came up
just short to Freed-Hardeman. The Tigers (16-14) lost 25-21, 25-20, 20-25,
22-25, 19-17 to the Lions (19-6).
Caraline Maher led with 13 kills, while Rachel Eubanks
and Kelsey Luckett chipped in with 10 each. GC battled back early in game four
to force the deceive set, and despite notching match-point at 15-14 the Lions
were not done.
The game went back and forth until Freed-Hardeman reeled
off three straight points for the victory.
Georgetown returns to action this evening against Taylor
University. Match is set to start around 8 pm in Davis-Reid Alumni Gym.
