Maurice Pearson recorded another double-double, 15 points and 13 boards, as Georgetown College men's basketball handed Asbury University (2-3) an 89-63 defeat Tuesday at Davis-Reid Alumni Gym. Johonne Hamilton had 18 points, as five Tigers (5-0) recorded double digits. Allan Thomas went three-of-five from deep for 16 points, Russ Middleton added 15 points and Garel Craig finished with 13.
The Eagles were led by Nate Johnson's 11 points and Austin Flannery's 10 points.
Georgetown had 24 assists on 34 field goals and forced 24 turnovers to remain undefeated on the season. The Tigers hit the road for the first time next Tuesday at Park University in Kansas City.
