In McCloskey's first season a new era of excellence began at Georgetown College. The rookie head coach guided the Tigers to a 24-10 record and to their first-ever Fab Four appearance in the NAIA National Tournament. Georgetown finished the regular season ranked No. 11 and started this year as the No. 6 team in the nation.
In 2011, the long-time assistant and one-year associate head coach took over the reigns of the Georgetown College Tigers. McCloskey became only the eighth head coach of the Tigers after Susan Johnson retired.
In 2010, McCloskey was named associate head coach at Georgetown College, where she had served for four years as the assistant coach to Susan Johnson. She played college basketball at University of Rio Grande, serving as team captain from 2000-2002.
