The mission of the Georgetown College Athletic Training Department is to provide complete health care for all student-athletes. Our athletic training facilities contain state-of-the-art equipment used to prevent, evaluate, treat and rehabilitate athletic injuries.
The sports medicine team at Georgetown College is dedicated to the success and well-being of each student-athlete and consists of three full-time certified athletic trainers and team physicians specializing in athletic injuries.

Dr. Tim Wilson
Georgetown Community Hospital
Dr. Wilson, a Georgetown College alumnus, received his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at the University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. He also completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Kentucky. Following his fellowship, Dr. Wilson remained at UK as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and team physician for the University of Kentucky Women's Basketball and Olympic sports teams. He also served as team physician for Morehead State University Athletics, Georgetown College Athletics, and the Lexington Horsemen Arena Football team. His special interests include shoulder and knee arthroscopic surgery.
