Georgetown College cheerleaders helped the Tigers celebrate the 150 wins for Bill Cronin, Bruce Owens, Craig Mullins, Steve Hill and Marty Park. The fearsome-five have been strolling the sidelines at Georgetown for 16 seasons. The first four as coaches, while Park came to Georgetown the fall of 1997 and played those first four seasons before being coming into the coaching ranks for the next 12.

"It is a great accomplishment and a great group of guys to share this with," said head coach Bill Cronin. "We want to thank the fans for all the excitement and the help to celebrate the achievement and look forward to winning another 150 here."

Georgetown College's cheerleading squad will be holding its annual spring tryouts May 26 at United Talent. If you want to help pump up the Tiger crowds and rally team spirit, please be there by 9 am, wearing proper cheer attire. In order to be considered for the team, cheerleaders are required to have a minimum of a backhandspring and will be evaluated on tumbling and jumps during the tryout.

Do you enjoy football, men's and women's basketball? Want to get more involved with supporting your Tiger teams? Ever thought about being a cheerleader?

Coach Jessica Ryan is once again looking to form her 2011-12 squad that will cheer for football and men's and women's basketball games as well as compete in several competitions throughout the season.

Joining the Georgetown College staff as the new cheerleading coach is Jessica Ryan. And if that name sounds familiar, it should. Ryan, a former cheer Tiger herself, graduated in 2009. She is a native of Georgetown and has made cheering a passion in her life since middle school.
