Tigers Shutout Gray Wolves, 6-0

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Georgetown College baseball team (7-12) picked up a 6-0 win over Lourdes University (6-8) at Robert N. Wilson Field on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Both sides collected a hit in the first inning, and the Tigers broke through in the second inning with what became the game-winning run. Aidan Jbara led the frame off with a single up the middle and scored off a wild pitch. A double steal scored one more run in the third before the Tigers opened up the game in the fifth. The Tigers plated four runs in the fifth, behind a run-scoring single and double as well as a groundout and a wild pitch. Georgetown's pitching staff allowed just four hits the rest of the way as the Tigers went on to win, 6-0.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Aidan Jbara went 2-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.
Luis Romero was 1-3 with two runs scored and a walk.
Davis Johnson went 1-3 with two walks.
Hideyoshi Kawahara (1-0) started and went 6.1 innings, allowing just five hits in the shutout win. He struck out one.
