Ashton Deskins Tabbed Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Georgetown College baseball senior Ashton Deskins was named the Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday.

Deskins, a right-hander from Delbarton, West Virginia, consistently closed the door this past week, earning three saves in his three appearances. His first save came over (RV) Oakland City in a one-run game.

He helped Georgetown to a 4-1 week by throwing 5.0 scoreless innings, with seven strikeouts and just one hit allowed.

Deskins is now tied for the most saves in the league with five.

Georgetown is on a four-game winning streak, sweeping Campbellsville this past weekend. The Tigers play on the road at No. 22 Indiana Southeast tomorrow at 3:00 p.m.
