Cheer wins 4th MSC title in 5 years, dominates awards

After finishing 2nd at the MSC Competitive Cheer Championships a year ago, Georgetown was determined to recapture its spot atop the conference in 2025. The Tigers did that and then some by capturing the title for the 4th time in 5 years and dominating the individual awards.

Georgetown set a pace in the preliminary round that no other school could touch. The Tigers showed out with a score of 93.15 in the prelims, 4.42 points clear of the 8-team field. The score gave Georgetown the right to go last in the final round. The Tigers left no doubt as to the superior team on this day with a final round score of 93.66 for an overall of 93.53 to claim the title by nearly 5 full points over 2nd-place Cumberlands.

The team title led to individual honors as Georgetown captured a number of postseason awards. Ellie Price was named the 2025 MSC Cheerleader of the Year. She also earned 1st Team All-MSC honors alongside Abbey Hughes and Halley Mills. Kaylee Baker, Issac Harder, Patty Little and Bella Toomey earned 2nd Team honors. The 7 combined honorees were the most of any team.

With the win, Georgetown also punches its ticket back to the NAIA Championships. The competition takes place on March 28th and 29th in Ypsilanti, MI.
