On March 14, 2025, Georgetown Athletics announced the hiring of Alyssa Tinker as the school’s first Esports Head Coach ahead of the inaugural 2025-26 season.

Tinker comes to Georgetown after 5 successful years as the Head Coach at Midway University, including over 110 wins in the last 2 seasons. In 2024, she led the program to a Playfly Mixed 2 Conference Championship and a National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) Navigators Division title. In 2023, the team won the NECC Emergents Rocket League Division Championship.

Tinker earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Midway after obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Business & Technology from Eastern Kentucky University.
