Wills-Jackson, Rader Named Mid-South Players of the Week
GEORGETOWN, Ky – Two Georgetown College football players were selected as Player of the Week by the league office on Monday as Isaiah Wills-Jackson nabbed Defensive Player while Drew Rader was tabbed Special Team's Player for the second consecutive week.
Rader, a senior from Wooster, Ohio, claimed his second straight Special Team's Player of the Week selection by averaging 46.7 yards per punt.
His longest boot of the day was a 76-yard punt, the longest in the Mid-South this season and the second-longest in the NAIA.
On the day, Rader pinned the Phoenix inside the 20-yard line on four of his six punts.
He ranks third in the Mid-South Conference this season, averaging 43.1 yards per punt and leads the conference in most punts inside the 20-yard line with 16.
Isaiah Wills-Jackson collected two of the Tigers' three defensive touchdowns in the win on Saturday.
He ran back an 18-yard fumble recovery touchdown in the third quarter and the later all but sealed the deal with a 99-yard touchdown off an interception late in the fourth.
He also added five tackles in the win. His interception and fumble recovery were his first of the season.
Georgetown has a bye-week before taking on Bethel on the road on November 1.
