No. 20 Tigers Pull Out Huge Win over No. 10 Campbellsville on Senior Day
GEOREGTOWN, Ky. – The No. 20 Georgetown College football team (7-3, 4-2 MSC) secured a 34-32 win over No. 10 Campbellsville (8-2, 4-2 MSC) on Senior Day at Toyota Stadium on Saturday.
Georgetown leads the all-time series 31-5, having not lost to Campbellsville since 2014.

- Gehrig Slunaker completed 21 of his 33 passes for 228 yards.
- Georgetown combined for 83 net yards on the ground, while Guy Bailey rushed for 102.
- Colin Bratcher led the receiving charge with 107 yards on nine catches with one touchdown.

First Quarter:
- Campbellsville started the game with the ball and moved down the field over 10 plays, but were stopped at the 4-yard line, setting up a 21-yard field goal.
- After nearly five minutes had gone by, Georgetown got the ball and, despite one first down, was forced to punt.
- Campbellsville got the ball back and once again went on a lengthy drive. This time, one that spanned 15 plays and ended once again in a field goal, a 34-yard try to give the visitors a 6-0 lead.
Second Quarter:
- Georgetown started the second quarter with the ball and responded with ease.
- Six straight positive yardage plays had the Tigers threatening before a 41-yard toss to Colin Bratcher landed in the end zone to tie the game.
- On the next Campbellsville possession, the visitors coughed up the ball.
- Jamell Smith recovered the fumble, but Georgetown could not score off the extra possession.
- Both teams' next three series resulted in a punt before the Tigers got the ball with just 42 seconds remaining in the half.
- Colin Bratcher's punt return set things up for Georgetown to take a lead into the locker room.
- A five-yard Guy Bailey rush and then a nine-yard pass to Bratcher put the ball on the 3-yard line with only 17 seconds to play.
- After a timeout, Slunaker found Chandley Godby for a touchdown to give the Tigers a 14-6 halftime advantage.
Third Quarter:
- The third quarter featured a 75-yard 11-play drive that took over five minutes and ended in a 2-yard Guy Bailey rushing touchdown.
- Campbellsville's next series ended with just one first down and a failed fourth down conversion before the Tigers really turned up the heat.
- With a short field, the Tigers expanded the lead to 27-6 behind Godby's second touchdown reception of the afternoon.
- Campbellsville responded with a touchdown on its next possession to cut into the deficit, with Georgetown taking over possession with just over a minute to play in the quarter.
Fourth Quarter:
- Georgetown needed just four plays and two completions to score in the fourth.
- Slunaker found Brian Tawuo for a 47-yard splash play and score to put the Tigers up 34-13.
- With just a minute expired in the fourth quarter, perhaps the most pivotal series of the game played out.
- Campbellsville drove 75 yards and scored off a 9-yard pass, but the extra point attempt was blocked by Isaiah Wills-Jackson to keep it a 34-19 game.
- Georgetown could only bleed a little over a minute off the clock on its next possession before Campbellsville got the ball and scored in just about the same amount of time.
- Clinging to a 34-26 lead, the Tigers got the ball with just under six minutes to play.
- Campbellsville's defense stood tall once again as a fumble stalled the Georgetown offense.
- The visitors regained the ball with 4:11 to play and drove down the field and scored after another 70+ yard drive.
- A 2-yard rushing touchdown made it a 34-32 game with 26 seconds left before back-to-back timeouts were called.
- Campbellsville quarterback Jett Engle's pass went incomplete as the two-point conversion attempt failed, and the Tigers held on for the two-point victory.
