Slunaker and Wills-Jackson Named Mid-South Conference Players of the Week

GEORGETOWN, Ky – On the final Mid-South Conference Player of the Week announcement of the regular season, two Georgetown College football players were named by the league office on Monday, as Gehrig Slunaker (Offensive Player of the Week) and Isaiah Wills-Jackson (Defensive Player of the Week) were recognized.

Slunaker, a senior from Fortville, Indiana, picked up the first Offensive Player of the Week selection for the Tigers this season by collecting 228 yards on 21 completions in the 34-32 win over No. 10 Campbellsville.

Slunaker amassed four touchdowns on the day to help Georgetown win its seventh game of the season. His longest pass of the day was a 47-yard touchdown to Brian Tawuo.

Isaiah Wills-Jackson picked up his second Mid-South Conference Player of the Week honors with seven tackles in the win over Campbellsville.

The difference in the game, however, proved to be his blocked point after attempt, which later forced Campbellsville to go for two on the last play of the game, helping Georgetown get the two-point win.

He also had a tackle for a loss and one break-up in the victory.

Georgetown finished the regular season with four Defensive Players of the Week in addition to two Special Teams Players of the Week and one Offensive Player of the Week.
