No. 13 Tigers Knock Off Wright State-Lake

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The No. 13 Georgetown College men's basketball team (11-3) picked up another convincing win, 107-59 over Wright State-Lake (2-13) in Davis-Reid Alumni Gym on Monday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Georgetown came out sluggish to start things off, falling into a 5-0 hole after turning the ball over on its first three possessions. Isaiah Mason scored the first five for the Tigers and he went on to collect a game-high 19 points in the win. Georgetown trailed by three at the first media timeout but used a 16-0 run to put things out of reach, leading 23-10 just four minutes later. Aden Nyekan poured in 10 of his 16 points in the first half to help Georgetown take a 50-25 lead at the break. The 50-point first half was the fourth of the season for the Tigers.

Unlike the first half, Georgetown converted on its first three trips down the floor in the second to cruise to the 48-point win. The Tigers bench saw the floor for much of the half as Rashad Bishop put up eight in just seven minutes of action. Scotty Browning added seven as Georgetown went on to eclipse 100+ points for the second time this season. The 107 points scored ties the season-high as Georgetown matched that mark early this year in a win against Midway in the Central Bank Jim Reid Classic.

THE TEAM
Georgetown shot 58.2% from the field. The Tigers were 7-28 (25.0%) from deep and shot 8-17 (47.1%) at the free-throw line. GC won the rebounding battle 50-29, while the Tigers also held the assists advantage, 15-9. The Tigers produced more steals, 24-6.
