Clements Takes Fourth, Tigers Seventh at Mid-South Conference Tournament

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Georgetown College men's golf team finished seventh at the Mid-South Conference Tournament at the Bowling Green Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
 
Christian Clements shot a 68 in round three, which was tied for the tournament low. Only four players put up a round in the 60s. He moved up to tie for fourth with a 72-78-68=218. Clements earned a tournament medalist for his efforts.

CHRISTIAN CLEMENTS
Clements shot the opening front-9 at one-under with two birdies while turning in a one-over on the back-9 to finish at an even par for the first round. He also carded two more birdies on the back-9. In round two he produced one more birdie and was in a tie for 15th after day one. Clements moved up 11 spots on the leaderboard, finishing in a tie for fourth after a four-under round three. He collected six birdies on the final day, including smashing four of six from holes 11 to 16 on the back-9.

CARTER ZUTTERMAN
Zutterman carded a 76 in the opening round with one birdie on hole 18. Despite going four-over in the front-9 for round two, he collected an eagle on hole 14. He also birdied hole 17 in round two to finish in 20th. Zutterman moved up four spots to finish tied for 16th behind a one-over final round. He shot one-over on the front-9 and finished up the back-9 with a pair of birdies and bogies for a 73.

LAINE SCHULTEN
Schulten shot just two-over on the front-9 of round one. He finished the day in 22nd with three more birdies in round two. Schulten was just two over in the final round, collecting three birdies. He climbed up to finish tied for 21st overall in the leaderboard.

MACK KING
King birdied holes two and 18 in the first round, finishing with a six-over 78. In round two, King added three more birdies and finished the day in 31st. After bogeying eight and nine, King went on to collect a birdie on 17 in round three to finish with an 80. He placed 30th overall.

EVAN COFFEY
Coffey was a sub in round one but played in round two, where he had 10 pars to finish in 36th. Coffey was two-over on the front-9 in round three, finishing with a seven-over 79 after birdieing 17. He finished 34th overall.

BENNETT MYERS
Myers played in round one, where he turned in two birdies and six pars. He was a sub in the second and third rounds and moved from 38th after day one to 39th.
