GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Georgetown College men's soccer team (2-5-1, 0-2 MSC) fell 3-0 to #4 Cumberlands (5-2-2, 2-0 MSC) at Toyota Stadium on Tuesday night.
THE MATCH
Cumberlands wasted little time putting pressure on starting goalkeeper Lukas Steiner. The visitors registered their first shot in the 3rd minute. Georgetown's first opportunity came in the 12th minute when Nicolas Del Aguila put a ball on net, which was saved. The Patriots struck first in the 40th minute with a goal from the top of the box. Despite a terrific effort on both ends, the Tigers trailed just 1-0 at halftime.
In the second half, Charlie Hogg took a couple of early shots before the Patriots went up 2-0 in the 59th minute. The Tigers' best goal-scoring opportunity of the night came in the 76th minute. A header from Joseph Taylor hit the post and ultimately kept the Tigers off the scorebooks. Cumberlands finished the night in the 86th minute with a goal to win 3-0.

The Tigers jump back into action play next Friday, October 3, when they host Freed-Hardeman (7-1-1, 0-1 MSC) for a home match at 1:00 p.m.
