LEBANON, Tenn. – The Georgetown College men's soccer team (2-9-1, 0-6 MSC) lost 9-0 to #13 Cumberland University (11-1-3, 3-1-1 MSC) at Lindsey Donnell Stadium on Monday afternoon.
THE MATCH
The Phoenix grabbed early possession and control of this match as they went on to score five first-half goals in the win. Right before the 17th minute, the first goal of the afternoon poured in and from there it was quickly 3-0 just over three minutes later. Cumberland netted two more goals before the break to take their commanding 5-0 advantage.
The second half brought another flurry of goals as the Phoenix went from five to eight goals up in a matter of minutes. Just before the 64th minute the scoring was complete as the ninth goal found the back of the net.

The Tigers do not play any matches the rest of this week as their opponent for the Mid-South Conference tournament is to be determined. The Tigers will be the tournament's #7 seed.
