Pendleton leads the way at Raider Rumble
After a win in the shot put at the Lee University Invite to kickoff the outdoor season, Wilson Pendleton backed it up with a dominant win at the Raider Rumble on Friday. His performance helped lead Georgetown to a 4th place finish.
Pendleton's best throws of 16.84m not only reached the NAIA "A" Standard but won the event by over 8 feet against the rest of the field. Pendleton nearly brought home the double as he finished a close 2nd in the discus.
On the track, Elijah Walters cruised to a win in the 5K with a final time of 16:39.24. Walters won the event by nearly 44 seconds. Chan Riiny brought home a 5th place finish in the 800m with a time of 2:18.63. Bryant Curtis finished 6th in the 800m with a run of 2:28.92.
Curtis also finished 6th in the 1500m with a time of 4:28.00. Justin Bynum was just ahead of Curtis with a run of 4:26.81 to place 5th. Bynum also ran 6th in the 5K in a final time of 17:42.70. Josiah McMahan ran 8th in the 5K and 12th in the 1500m.
