Tigers Receiving Votes in Latest NAIA Top 25 Coaches Rating of the Year

GEORGETOWN, KY – For the third week in a row, the Georgetown College men's wrestling team is once again receiving points in the NAIA men's wrestling rating released by the NAIA on Thursday.

Georgetown is coming off a week in which it had three placers at Indiana Little State, including Doug Dittmer finishing third overall at 184.

Three Tigers are in the national rankings, including Marcus James at #16 in the 197-pound class with 70 points overall.

Leland Reeves and Luke Cox both come in at #24 in their respective classes as well. Reeves has 18 points in the 133-pound class while Cox holds 20 points in the 285-pound class.

Grand View (Iowa) men's wrestling maintained its hold on the top spot in the third regular-season edition of the NAIA Men's Wrestling rating, backed by 249 points and four individual wrestlers ranked No. 1. Life (Ga.) held firm at No. 2 with 232 points, while Indiana Tech climbed into the top three with 215 points, moving past Southeastern (Fla.), which slid one spot to No. 4.

Southern Oregon pushed into the top five after climbing from No. 7 to No. 5, while Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) surged three spots to No. 8, reentering the top 10. Wayland Baptist (Texas) delivered the largest overall leap, vaulting from receiving votes into a tie with Friends (Kan.) at No. 20.

Ray Ray Harris (125) of Doane (Neb.) is the lone new top-ranked wrestler, with the other nine No. 1 selections holding their spots for the fourth straight ranking, including the preseason. 

The Tigers are back on the mats on Saturday, December 13 for the Rocky Top Duals.

The duals start at 9:00 a.m. in Rocky Tops Sports World in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
