No. 23 Tigers Drop MSC Dual at No. 11 Phoenix
LEBANON, Tenn. – The No. 23 Georgetown College men's wrestling team continued Mid-South Conference play, falling 36-9 against No. 11 Cumberland in Dallas Floyd Phoenix Arena on Saturday night.
Top-10 wrestler #8 Navarro Nanpuya defeated #10 Rocco Horvath via 6-1 decision to secure the first points of the evening for Georgetown, which was without #18 Leland Reeves and Wyatt Payne.
Marcus James also picked off a #10 wrestler, Tyler Rowland, in the 197 class. James earned the 3-2 decision.
Luke Cox finished off the night with a win in the heavyweights. He took down Noah Todd 9-4, who was previously undefeated and had most recently pinned the #17 wrestler in 285 coming into tonight.
