Tigers Move up to No. 19 in Latest NAIA Top 25 Coaches Rating

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Georgetown College men's wrestling team moved up four spots and is tied for No. 19 in the latest NAIA men's wrestling rating released by the NAIA on Wednesday.

Leland Reeves moved up one spot to #17 overall after earning a 10-7 decision in his dual versus Midway. Reeves has 57 points.

Navarro Nanpuya remains at #8 in the 184 class. Nanpuya earned a fall in 3:52 over Midway's Sebastian Hutchinson last Tuesday.

Doug Dittmer moved up one spot as well and is now ranked #22 in the 184 class and did not compete against Midway.

Marcus James is now the #11 ranked wrestler in 197 after his tech fall victory in his dual against Midway.

Finally, Luke Cox is ranked #20 in the heavyweights, falling one spot from the last ratings despite picking up a tech fall win against Midway.

Grand View (Iowa) is back on top in the final NAIA Men's Wrestling rating of the season. The Vikings accumulated 260 points and a four-point advantage over No. 2 Life (Ga.), which was the top-ranked team in the previous rating. Southeastern (Fla.) had the most No. 1-ranked individuals with three, and enters the final rating at No. 3 behind 229 points. 

Oklahoma City moved up one spot to No. 4, swapping places with Indiana Tech, which fell to No. 5. The remainder of the top 10, Southern Oregon through Missouri Valley, saw no change, as No. 6 through No. 11 remained intact.

Marian (Ind.), Saint Mary (Kan.), and Eastern Oregon each recorded the largest upward movement in the poll, climbing two spots apiece. Marian moved from No. 17 to No. 15, while Saint Mary advanced from No. 20 to No. 18. Eastern Oregon also rose two places, moving from No. 25 to No. 23.

The Tigers begin the postseason when they travel to Bowling Green, Kentucky for their first-ever Mid-South Conference Championships on Friday, February 13.
