Four Tigers Named to MSC All-Conference Teams, Homet Tabbed MSC Assistant Coach of the Year
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Georgetown College men's wrestling team captured three titles at the Mid-South Conference Championships on Friday and as a result Navarro Nanpuya, Marcus James and Luke Cox were named to the first team all-conference while Wyatt Payne earned a spot on the third team all-conference.
Kyle Homet won Assistant Coach of the Year as well for Georgetown who finished fifth overall in its first-ever Mid-South Conference Championships. James was also named Mid-South Conference Freshman of the Year by going 2-0 in the 197-weight class, knocking off a ranked opponent on his way to the title.

After falling in the opener to No. 22 Chase Walker, Wyatt Payne rallied to knock off Midway's Zachary Lewis to claim third place in 125.
No. 8 Navarro Nanpuya, No. 11 Marcus James, and No. 20 Luke Cox went a combined 8-0 to win their respective weight classes and finish the championships with titles for Georgetown.
Nanpuya knocked off both the No. 9 and No. 7 wrestlers in his path to the crown while James beat the No. 14-ranked wrestler in 197 for his title. Cox won the heavyweights with a huge 7-6 decision over No. 7 Austin Silva.
The three champions, along with Doug Dittmer have advanced to the NAIA Men's Wrestling National Championships. The Championships will be held at Heartland Credit Union Arena in Park City, Kansas on March 5-7.
