Marcus James Named to the Mid-South Conference Champion of Character Team

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Georgetown College men's wrestling freshman, Marcus James, was named to the Mid-South Conference Champion of Character team as announced by the league office on Monday.

The MSC recognizes a Champions of Character Team for each championship sport. The student-athletes honored on the Champions of Character Team were nominated by their coaches based on their leadership on and off campus, as well as their demonstration of the five core character values of the NAIA.

James was named Mid-South Conference Freshman of the Year after his 2-0 record at the Championships on Friday. James knocked off the No. 14 ranked wrestler in the championship match of the 197-class to win the title.
