Daysha Reid Dubbed Mid-South Conference Freshman of the Year

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Mid-South Conference announced its 2025-26 women's basketball awards on Thursday with Georgetown College freshman Daysha Reid being named as the MSC Freshman of the Year.

Reid, a freshman from Portsmouth, Ohio, started all 28 regular season games this season averaging 15.3 points per game which is second most on the team and eighth best in the league.

The guard was named Mid-South Conference Player of the Week on November 3 after her dominant start to the season.

In the blowout win over Miami-Hamilton on Halloween, she put up 33 points, and followed that outing up with 36 points the next day against Carolina.

In the game against the Bruins she finished with a game-high 36 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the field, while going 9-of-12 from 3-point range. Her nine made 3-pointers was one short of tying the school record.

Her efforts then named her NAIA Offensive Player of the Week for the week of November 4.

Reid was also named to the second-team All Mid-South Conference team as well.
