Tigers Awarded 5-seed, draw Taylor (Ind.) in NAIA Tournament First Round
GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Georgetown College women's basketball team was announced as the five-seed in the Naismith Quadrant for the upcoming 2026 NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship, as announced by the NAIA on Thursday night.
It will be the 20th all-time appearance for the Tigers in the NAIA Tournament after being announced as one of the 16 host sites for the opening two rounds of action on Monday.

The Tigers take on 12-seed Taylor University in a first-round matchup on Friday, March 13th. Georgetown earned an at-large bid out of the Mid-South Conference with an overall record of 22-8.
Taylor enters the NAIA Tournament out of the Crossroads League and with a 17-12 overall record.
The Trojans played a trio of opponents in the non-conference that the Tigers also took on this season. Both sides played an exhibition game against NCAA Div. I the University of Cincinnati. Additionally, the Trojans bested IU Columbus on the road and Ohio Christian at home, both squads that the Tigers dismantled handily.
The Tigers squared off against Mt. Vernon Nazarene, a Crossroads League member, and won 105-67 at home on December 12. The Trojans split both games they played against MNVU, winning on their home court.
Georgetown and Taylor will headline the women's session, which begins at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13.
Also in the Georgetown pod is 4-seed Loyola (La.), who pieced together a 24-4 overall record, falling in the Southern States Athletic Conference semifinals, and 13-seed Milligan (Tenn.), who enters the tournament with a 23-7 record after winning the Appalachian Athletic Conference over Reinhardt.
Loyola (La.) and Milligan (Tenn.) will square off in the second game of the day at 3:15 p.m.
