Tigers Finish FHU Invitational in Fifth

HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Georgetown College women's golf team finished fifth at the FHU Invitational hosted by Freed Hardeman University on the Chickasaw Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday.

Emma Lemming was the top Tiger with a two-day score of 88-85=173 while the team shot a 366-343=709.

EMMA LEMMING

Lemming followed closely behind Browning with six pars in round one. She shot an 88 and stood in 17th after the opening round. In round two, Lemming produced eight pars, falling just a single spot on the leaderboard to 18th.

MAGGIE BROWNING

Browning collected a team-best seven pars on the opening day. She shot an 86 and was in 14th after round one. In round two, Browning pieced together seven pars, including four on the front-9. Browning fell five spots to 19th after day two.

KAELIN STULL

Stull produced an overall score of 98 in the first round, with one par on the front-9 and the team's only birdie of the opening round on hole 17. Stull jumped an impressive 11 spots on the leaderboard on day two with a team-best four birdies. The sophomore shot just four-over 40 on the back-9 to finish 23rd.  

HOLLY HOLTON

Holton shot a 22-over behind four pars in the opening round, all on the back-9. On day two, Holton strung together seven pars, including a stretch on the back-9 where she played even for six of the seven holes to finish 25th.

JAYCEE KABASKY

Kabasky shot a 103 on the afternoon with a par on hole one in the first round. For day two, Kabasky improved with a 99 and doubled her pars.

The Tigers take on the Palm Beach State Invitational on October 6-7. They travel to Henderson, Tennessee, to take on the Chickasaw Golf Course
