CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Georgetown College women's soccer team (6-6-1, 1-3 MSC) lost 4-1 to Campbellsville University (7-6-0, 3-1 MSC) 4-1 at Finley Stadium on Tuesday night.
THE MATCH
The Tigers took the first shot of the night when Kali Settle put a ball off target in the game's third minute. Campbellsville registered two shots before connecting for its first goal of the evening. In the 14th minute a penalty kick was converted to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. The advantage doubled in the 20th minute when Molly Metcalfe struck for Campbellsville. Over six minutes later the CU Tigers put the game out of reach with their goal of the evening all within a half hour. The Tigers only took just the one shot in the first half.
Out of halftime, Campbellsville did not let up, putting two shots up in the opening six minutes. The Tigers first shot of the half came from Kendyl Rumple who later found the back of the net. Rumple got the Tigers on the board in the 64th minute with an unassisted goal. The goal was Rumple's second of the season but it was not enough as the CU Tigers matched it with a goal in the 77th minute to take the match, 4-1.

The Tigers return home to host Bethel University (2-7-1, 1-1 MSC) next Friday, October 17, at 7:00 p.m. for their final regular season home match of the season.
