Tigers Drop Final Home Match to Bethel

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Georgetown College women's soccer team (6-7-1, 1-4 MSC) lost 3-0 to Bethel University (3-8-1, 2-2 MSC) at Toyota Stadium on Friday night.

THE MATCH

The Wildcats played a game of possession from kick off as the visitors settled into their offensive attack. Striker Audrey LaRue took the first of her nine shots in the 7th minute, which was saved by starting goalkeeper Olivia York. Just two minutes later, LaRue was testing York once again with another shot. LaRue finally broke through in the 20th minute with an unassisted strike. The goal would stand until halftime as the Tigers registered just four first-half shots.

In the second half, the Wildcats maintained their pressure and dominance. LaRue added a pair of goals late to seal things for Bethel. First, in the 83rd minute, she finished a pass from Zainab Manneh to go up 2-0. Just two minutes from there, she completed the hat-trick with another goal at the 84:29 mark.
