Austin Tops Triple Jump at Friday Night Spikes for Tigers
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Georgetown College men's and women's indoor track and field team competed in the Friday Night Spikes meet in the SRC Fieldhouse at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Friday night.
The women's squad finished fifth of six scoring teams, with Cynthia Austin earning a first-place finish in the triple jump. Her 9.74m effort was the second-best in school history. Austin also scored in the long jump with a 4.63m result, which is fourth-best all-time.
Terrynn Clott (9.51m) and Reese Hardeman (9.02m) also scored for the Tigers in shot put with the seventh and 10th best results all-time. Jenna Tipton's finish in the 60m hurdles was fifth-best in program history and was the final Tiger to score points in the meet.
