Tigers Ranked No. 12 in latest NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll
GEORGETOWN, Ky – The Georgetown College football team fell six spots to No. 12 in the second regular-season edition of the 2025 Netting Professionals NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll released on Monday.
The Tigers (3-1) dropped their first game of the season this past Saturday to then-ranked No. 14 St. Thomas on the road. The Bobcats moved into the top 10 in the latest poll.
Trailing 17-0 at halftime, Georgetown scored its only touchdown of the game on its first possession of the third quarter. A 32-yard connection from Gehrig Slunaker to Clayton Davis trimmed the deficit to 17-7, but was the closest the Tigers would come.
Carroll (Mont.) climbed seven spots to No. 18 and St. Thomas (Fla.) re-entered the top 10, while Grand View (Iowa) was a third-consecutive unanimous No. 1 in the 2025 season.
Georgetown has a bye this week before hosting No. 8 Lindsey Wilson (4-0, 0-0 MSC) to open Mid-South Conference play on October 4.
The Blue Raiders are coming off a 35-27 road win over Reinhardt University this week. The Tigers have not lost to LWU since the 2022 season. LWU commands a 9-6 overall advantage in the all-time series.
