Tigers Handle Crimson Pride, 4-1

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Georgetown College men's soccer team (2-4-1, 0-1 MSC) picked up a much-needed 4-1 win over IU Columbus (3-4-1, 0-0 RSC) at Toyota Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

THE MATCH
The Tigers bagged a pair of goals in each half to take down the Crimson Pride. First, Roberto Saer connected for the opening goal at 17:27 in the first half before Daniel Saer made it 2-0 just under five minutes to play in the period. The Tigers registered a total of 27 shots on the day, 14 of which came in the first half. The defense held the Crimson Pride to just four first half opportunities.

In the second half, Nicolas Del Aguila made it 3-0 Georgetown when he scored at the 60:01 mark. Just over four minutes later, the visitors erased starting keeper Lukas Steiner's clean sheet with a goal at 64:38. Inchun Han finished off the scoring for the Tigers in the 74th minute, making it 4-1.

The Tigers play just a single game next week when they host the No. 4-ranked University of Cumberlands on Tuesday, September 23.

Kick-off against the Patriots (4-2-2, 0-0 MSC) is set for 8:00 p.m. in Toyota Stadium.
